Hope everyone had a good Christmas and a Happy New
Year. My girlfriend and I went to my mother's house
on Christmas Eve for dinner and gifts, we then went
to her folks house on Christmas day for the same.
I didn't do so well w/ either event, but I
did spend a good 4-5 hrs. at her folks house,
which for me is huge. I hope you all got
to see your families and had good times.
Hello (((Blay)))
I'm glad to hear you got out for Christmas Eve and Christmas day and was
able to spend some time with your families. You made a big
accomplishment by going out and being out so long. Yayyyy for you! :-)
I went to my nieces home which is about 16 miles from where I live. I
was nervous as I drove there but did relax a bit as the day went on. I
was there about 4 hours which is a very long time for me to be anywhere.
I am very glad I went. It was something I wanted and needed to do.
I had not seen my niece for over a year and have missed her and her
family very much. Some of her husbands family was there also and it was
good to see them.
I believe there was about 12 of us all together. My niece kept asking
me if I was alright as she knew I was nervous being around that many
people. She is a very sweet and caring young lady.
We did a lot of hugging and crying that day. Happy tears of course
after not seeing each other for so long.
I am going to make en effort to see my niece at least once a month. In
fact we are planning to go out to lunch later this month.
I feel I made a big accomplishment too by going to my nieces home for
Christmas. I was totally worn out by the time I got home to my comfort
zone but it was worth it.
I did not leave my home for almost a week after Christmas. I was home
recuping from my outing. I finally did get out long enough to go to the
grocery store on 12/31/07.
I have not been back out since but do have a counselling appointment
today so I will be going out this afternoon.
Take care and have a good day! :-)
(((Hugs)))
