Well I finally got approved for Medicaid now that I am on SSDI. That is
going to help so much as there are many medical things I need that I
didn't have health insurance to cover before.
It seems Medicaid actually covers almost everything at a very low co-pay
of $3.00 or NO co-pay at all. All Dental work is totally FREE. Glasses
are $50 but that is still a lower price than one would normally pay for
an eye exam and glasses.
My doctor wants me to go to a Rheumatoligist and Medicaid does cover
that type of specialist doctor. So I will be making an appointment soon
for that and also for glasses and dental work.
I only need glasses for distance vision, when I am driving or watching
Tv. I can't see my computer at all if I have my glasses on. Everything
looks fuzzy! I have to take them off so I can see what I am doing! lol
Now if I can just force myself out the door to get to all of these
appointments I'll be doing good. I know it's in my best interest to go
the appointments and get the things done that I have had to put off for
too long.
I feel I am doing a bit better with getting out in public more often.
It's not easy taking that first step out of my comfort zone but I know I
need to keep doing it. I don't want to be housebound forever.
Ok now that I have written a small novel, I'm waiting to hear how the
rest of you are doing and what accomplishments you have made. We can
all help each other.
